Crys Gorman post surgery update:
This morning Crys went in for what we hope is a final reconstruction surgery. The surgery was at 7am – UGH! The doctor came out at about 9:30am to say that all had gone well and that she was in recovery. When I was called back to recovery she was in a bit of a daze from the anesthesia along with some nausea from the drugs. The team at the surgery center took great care of her and by 1pm we were on our way home as she was in good enough condition to be released. After making it back to the house she ate some soup, took a good long nap, and woke up feeling much better as the anesthesia drugs appeared to be working their way out of her system. There will be some recovery time but she seems to be more herself as every moment passes. Which means she may be signing up for a Spartan race shortly. 😂
Thank you to everyone who reached out to us throughout the day, and thank you to each of you who have been praying along the way through this journey as well as praying for her today. We appreciate each of you more than we will ever be able to express.
