A few people have asked what the next “milestone” is, so that’s tells me it’s time for an update!
Well the next milestone is my birthday on August 31, so you can go ahead and mark your calendar. 😉
That being said, my third round of chemo is this Friday. My fourth and final round of this particular chemo drug is September 14th. After that, we switch to a different drug and receive treatments every Friday. The new drug will be less harsh and side effects are expected to be less, so I’m looking forward to that! But since they are weekly treatments, that’s a whole lot of doctor office time I’m not looking forward to. Just goes to show each step in this journey brings it’s own challenges!
So that means the next celebration is finishing these next two rounds of chemo (that’s 28 days from now, not that I’m counting). But in the meantime, I’m still feeling good overall and kicking butt one day at a time! And it’s in large part because of so many people praying for us all the time, so please… keep ’em coming! 🙂
Prayer Points:
*Pray for complete healing and for this never to return.
*Pray that I continue to experience minimal side effects.
*Pray for our eyes, ears, and hearts to be open to the opportunities God puts in our path along this journey.
