Friends, we’ve set a date for surgery today, right now we’re planning for the morning of May 2nd.
It makes me pretty nervous, that’s really soon. But I keep telling myself that’s a good thing – let’s get this done!
At this time, we won’t actually know what the rest of the course of treatment is until after the surgery. But we are still believing for no chemo and no radiation so please keep praying with us. Even without those things, recovery and reconstruction will take several months and many more procedures so in my book, that’s plenty to do all by itself thank you very much.
God still gives me all the strength I need to face each day, and He’s shown up in some incredible places that I’ll tell you about sometime when I’m feeling more eloquent.
Matt is a rock. I don’t know how I would ever get through this without Him! God has prepared so many things for us big and small for this moment – He’s given me an incredible husband to walk through with me, He’s created me to be the kind of person who can kick butt, and He’s promised to never leave me for a second. Talk about having everything you need! God is good…all the time!
Prayer points:
– Complete healing. His touch is all it would take to avoid all of this!
– Peace over anxiety.
– A smooth and pain free recovery and as already mentioned, no chemo.
– Pray for the story He is writing and for our eyes to be open to His work, as I know He is using this for big things.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement. The army behind us has so often kept us encouraged and in good spirits! I am so thankful and so blessed to have you.
It’s been a little while since I’ve posted any updates on our surrogacy…
