Crys is out of surgery and everything went really well. At home recovering, pretty nauseated from the drugs but should be wearing off soon. Thanks for the prayers and flood of social media encouragement and T-shirt pics! Now on to next Wednesday…
No fancy updates or spiritual revelations today, just a few updated prayer requests as we go into this week. This Wednesday the 16th at 11:30 is my first surgery, they will be removing some lymph nodes to test them. So… 1. Pray that the lymph nodes are clear! 2. Pray that I continue to stay healthy between now and the 23rd. I don’t want to catch a cold or something that results in delaying the surgery longer. 3. When I first began this journey, one of the thoughts I struggled with was “is this somehow my fault”. I wondered if I ate the wrong things or used the wrong cleaners in my kitchen. But most of all, I wondered if my prayers had somehow caused this. When I had previously prayed “God, give me a closer relationship to you” or “God, help me understand how much you love me”, did that somehow trigger God to create one of the biggest valleys in my life, in order that through this valley those prayers…
