Dear friends, it’s time to share some tough news with you. About a month ago, we entered into a battle that no one wants to face and found out that I was diagnosed with breast cancer. As you can imagine, this came as a pretty big shock at my age. The good news is we seem to have caught it fairly early and it hasn’t yet spread anywhere else.
The coming weeks and months will bring a huge challenge, but I am confident in My Heavenly Father! I know there is an incredible story He is writing through all of this and we’ll come out on the other side stronger, closer together, and with an increased faith in Him. I expect to see His hand in my life on a daily basis…that’s a privilege one doesn’t get every day.
We share this with you because we treasure your prayers and encouragement. Of course, please pray for healing. Please also pray for wisdom and discernment as we make many difficult decisions, for peace over anxiety, and for the “easiest” treatment plan possible. I am also praying that God uses this in such an undeniable way that when we look back and see what He has made, we can say “it was worth the pain”.
Finally, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I apologize in advance if I decline or don’t answer, but I know we will rely on the positive encouragement and support of those around us during this fight.
Thank you for your prayers, we are thankful for so many that are requesting healing for me and walking through this season with us.
